What does a Content Manager do?

Director or content manager is the one who oversees the content presented on websites and blogs, and may also be responsible for creating, editing, publishing, updating and sometimes cleaning outdated content.

Some content managers focus strictly on the content, while others only focus on the management side.

The main responsibility of a Content Manager is to keep the information displayed in all communication channels fresh, informative and attractive. To do this, they have a deep understanding of their company's brand voice and use it to communicate with customers.

Content strategy is creating, writing and managing to achieve business goals and be a voice for the company. It takes creativity, leadership skills, and writing ability to produce and publish good content.

The job of a content manager involves researching, searching, writing and editing interesting content to be published for members, readers and customers.

They will often work with content management software (CMS) or WordPress.

This software allows the administrator to efficiently make any changes that are necessary.

The video, audio and text are placed in a template for uploading to the Internet, so little or no design work is needed on the part of the content manager. The manager can also create and send email newsletters, promotions and online outreach campaigns, using the same CMS software.

A further responsibility of the Content Manager is to manage the content of discussion posts, comments or forums and ensure that they do not violate any laws or are inappropriate in any way.

Anything questionable should be removed as soon as the content manager becomes aware. If the discussion forum is too big a job for the content manager to handle, a community manager, or Community Manager, will be hired to handle this task specifically.
